New Pakistan-China Bridge to Boost Industrial and Entrepreneurial Ties

In a major step to deepen economic and industrial cooperation, Precise Development (Hong Kong) Limited and The University of Lahore (UOL) have jointly launched the “Pakistan-China Industrial Entrepreneur Bridge,” a Center of Excellence aimed at facilitating cross-border collaboration between business communities of both nations.

Announced on Sunday by Gwadar Pro, the initiative establishes a key platform to enhance connectivity between Pakistani industries and prominent Chinese trade organizations. These include the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), Chamber of Commerce for High Technology and Equipment Industry, the New Energy Operations Committee, China Electricity Equipment Management Association, and the China Jinhua (Yiwu) Wenzhou General Chamber of Commerce.

The new center will foster partnerships in a range of strategic sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture and agri-tech, mineral and natural resources, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, vocational training, digital economy, culture, tourism, creative industries, and human capital development.

The agreement formalizing the collaboration was signed by David Chu, CEO of Precise Development (Hong Kong) Limited, and Awais Raoof, Chairman of the Board of Governors at UOL.

Speaking to Gwadar Pro, Khalid Taimur Akram, Director for the Eurasian Region at Precise Development, called the initiative “a significant leap forward” in Pakistan-China relations. He noted that the bridge will drive industrial cooperation, stimulate trade and investment, and promote innovation, technology exchange, and sustainable growth.

Further strengthening financial cooperation, Precise Development also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) earlier this week with Bank Makramah Limited to streamline Chinese investments into Pakistan. The agreement aims to provide efficient financial solutions for bilateral business operations, supporting the broader objectives of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

In a sign of growing interest from Chinese investors, a high-powered delegation of senior executives from more than a dozen Chinese companies visited Islamabad from April 28 to May 4. The delegation engaged with top Pakistani officials to explore joint ventures in high-tech manufacturing, renewable energy, aviation, electronics, satellite communication, smart technologies, and mining.

The Pakistan-China Industrial Entrepreneur Bridge is expected to become a vital pillar of the evolving economic partnership between the two countries, reinforcing their commitment to shared prosperity and regional development.
