In a significant move to deepen their long-standing partnership, Pakistan and China have signed memorandums of understanding worth $250 million, bolstering the China-Pakistan Health Corridor (CPHC). This initiative, which parallels the Belt and Road Initiative, focuses on improving Pakistan’s healthcare system through joint efforts in medical education, infrastructure, and technology.
The collaboration, which includes plans for a $1 billion medical city in Pakistan and a “friendship hospital” in Islamabad, aims to provide better healthcare access and training opportunities.
