Chinese investors have agreed to establish a Super Mini Truck assembly plant in Karachi, a significant step toward industrial growth and technological collaboration between China and Pakistan. The announcement was made by Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon during the unveiling ceremony of the Super Mini Truck in Bozhou, China, according to Gwadar Pro. Developed jointly by China’s Chery Holding and Peddy Technology Company Limited, the Super Mini Truck is a revolutionary and versatile vehicle that can be converted into a super mini car. Memon highlighted the project’s potential to benefit various business groups, boost local manufacturing, create jobs, and promote technology transfer. He also announced plans to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Sindh. Calling the truck a model of Pakistan-China industrial cooperation, Memon emphasized its affordability, sustainability, and suitability for both urban and rural logistics, and reaffirmed the Sindh government’s commitment to providing regulatory support, infrastructure, and workforce training to ensure the plant’s success.
