In a major step forward for Pakistan-China academic and technological collaboration, two top Pakistani universities—National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and the University of Sargodha (UoS)—hosted high-level Chinese delegations this week. At NUST, the “NUST – SIEF Green and Low Carbon Summit,” jointly organized with COMSTECH and the Sino-International Entrepreneurs Federation (SIEF), brought together leading researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from both countries to explore green innovation, clean energy, and low-carbon development under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The summit featured keynote addresses by top Chinese scholars and concluded with a tour of NUST’s National Science and Technology Park. Meanwhile, a Chinese delegation led by Ms. Hong Yan Niu visited UoS to discuss joint ventures in R&D, youth vocational training, and the potential creation of a technology center. UoS officials, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, welcomed the delegation, which expressed strong interest in long-term partnerships.
