The enduring “Iron Brotherhood” between Pakistan and China was celebrated at a photo exhibition hosted by the Pakistan Embassy, commemorating 74 years of diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping’s 2015 visit to Pakistan, China Economic Net reported. Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Sun Haiyan, attended as Chief Guest, praising the event as a perfect reflection of China-Pakistan friendship. Ambassador Khalil Hashmi, in his keynote address, called the exhibition a “living testament” to a relationship that has withstood the tests of time, highlighting iconic moments such as President Xi’s aircraft being escorted by the Pakistan Air Force and PIA’s historic 1964 landing in China. He emphasized that the bond is built on conscious will and mutual respect, quoting Allama Iqbal to reinforce shared values of peace, prosperity, stability, and trust. Vice Minister Sun also recalled a moving gesture from 2015, when an elderly Pakistani donated land in Gwadar for a school dedicated to the friendship between the two nations. The exhibition, showcasing decades of shared history, affirms that this unshakable brotherhood is not only rooted in the past but also poised for the future.
