Pakistani Students Join Jiangsu Welcome Gala to Showcase Cultural Harmony

A vibrant welcome gala hosted by the Jiangsu International Cultural Exchange Center brought together nearly 300 international students from 16 countries, with Pakistani students adding color and energy through traditional dress and lively performances. From spirited folk dances to kameez-shalwar showcases, their participation drew applause and highlighted Pakistan’s cultural richness. The evening featured Chinese traditional games, group performances from Bangladesh, India, Iran, and Sri Lanka, and interactive activities that fostered camaraderie among participants. The gala, part of JICEC’s ongoing efforts to promote cross-cultural exchange, underlined how international students—particularly from Pakistan—are building bridges of friendship and harmony in Jiangsu. It also showcased how such events not only celebrate cultural diversity but also strengthen people-to-people ties, helping young participants create lasting bonds.
