China, Pakistan Build Playful Partnership in Growing Toy Industry

In a bid to boost trade ties, Pakistani Consul Sardar Muhammad visited Chenghai, Shantou, where he met leading toy enterprises and the Shantou Chenghai Toy Association to explore collaboration opportunities. The visit, a follow-up to a recent Chinese delegation’s tour of Pakistan, underscored Pakistan’s potential as a growing toy market fueled by its youthful population and strategic location. Both sides signed an MoU to enhance cooperation, with Pakistani firms set to join the 24th Shantou Chenghai International Toy & Gift Fair in October, marking a new chapter in Sino-Pak toy industry partnership. The discussions also highlighted rising demand for educational and smart toys in Pakistan, creating fresh opportunities for joint ventures. Officials expressed confidence that such exchanges will not only expand trade but also deepen cultural and industrial linkages between the two countries. The engagement is also expected to help Pakistani manufacturers modernize their industry by learning from China’s advanced production practices. Experts believe this cooperation could open doors for technology transfer, skill development, and long-term business growth.
