Pakistan and China have inked a landmark five-year agreement to significantly boost Pakistan’s industrial capabilities. Formalized between China’s Guangdong Shoe-Making Machinery Association and Pakistan’s Industrial Sewing Machines Importers and Dealers Association (PISMIDA), the accord focuses on transferring cutting-edge technology and providing specialized training in footwear, leather processing, and garment manufacturing. PISMIDA Vice Chairman Muhammad Yaseen, who signed the agreement in China, highlighted its potential to revolutionize Pakistan’s manufacturing sector by enhancing production quality, efficiency, and export competitiveness. The initiative emphasizes innovation, workforce development, and strategic cooperation, aiming to foster mutual industrial advancement and introduce a “technological revolution” with government support.
